Operational Finance and Open Items

Understand Prospect's receivables, payables, settlements, and boundary with the general ledger.

Open items
Open-items workspace with receivable and payable balances, statuses, dates, and source links
Open items are created by published commercial documents and settled by confirmed allocations.

Published customer invoices create receivables; published supplier invoices and expenses create payables. Each open item retains original, settled, and outstanding amounts, partner, currency, dates, status, and source.

Use filters to review Open, Partially Settled, Settled, or reversed positions. Follow the source before changing a payment or correction. Credit notes and supplier credits adjust the commercial position; confirmed payment allocations settle it.

Accounting boundary

Prospect is the operational source for commercial documents, stock, open items, payments, and reconciliation. It does not maintain a statutory chart of accounts or general ledger. Use the immutable accounting bundle for handoff.

See Payments, Receivables and VAT reports, and Accounting handoff.
