Run a Small Business in Prospect

A practical operating rhythm for owners using Prospect across sales, purchases, stock, finance, and reporting.

Operational dashboard

Start the daily review from live operational indicators, then follow each exception to its source record.

Prospect works best when master data is maintained once and each real event is recorded through its source document instead of recreated in unrelated modules.

Daily rhythm

  1. Review dashboard alerts, due tasks, low stock, open receivables/payables, and eFaktura issues.
  2. Record offers and orders before delivery where commitments matter.
  3. Publish delivery or receipt documents when goods physically move.
  4. Publish invoices and supplier documents only after dates, tax, quantities, and references are correct.
  5. Allocate payments to open items and reconcile imported bank lines.

Period review

Check revenue and purchase reports, VAT, partner statements, aging, inventory movements, and stock valuation. Resolve draft, failed, or unmatched items before locking a fiscal period. Generate the immutable accounting handoff for your external accountant.

One source for each event

Use linked-document actions whenever possible. They preserve remaining quantities, reservations, stock effects, financial open items, and the document timeline.

Prospect does not replace professional tax advice or a statutory general ledger. The company remains responsible for correct master data, tax treatment, approvals, and external filing obligations.
